Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AlpineLeaf Gear LLC ("AlpineLeaf", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to the text message program described below.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly. On the contact form that is your name, your email address and the content of your message. On the job alerts form that is your mobile number and whether you ticked the optional consent checkbox.
When you submit either form, our servers also record the time of the submission, the IP address the request came from and the browser user agent that sent it. We record this to protect the forms against abuse and, where consent is given, to keep evidence of that consent.
We do not use analytics scripts, advertising pixels, tracking cookies or any third-party script on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- To consider you for roles you apply for, and to contact you about them.
- To send text messages you have agreed to receive, and to keep a record of that agreement.
- To keep our forms working and free of automated abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for any purpose beyond those listed here without asking you first.
Mobile information and text messaging
Consent to receive text messages is optional. The checkbox on our job alerts form starts unchecked, you may submit the form without ticking it, and consent is never a condition of applying for a role or of any purchase.
We will not sell or share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Full details of the program, including message frequency and rates, are in our SMS Terms.
When we share information
We share your details with an employer only when you have applied for a role with them, or when you have asked us to put you forward. We use service providers for hosting and for sending text messages, and they may process data on our behalf under contract. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep consent records for as long as we send messages to that number, and for a period afterwards so we can show that consent was given.
Your choices and rights
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving messages.
- Email us to ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Email us to ask us to correct or delete your information.
- Email us to withdraw consent for text messages at any time.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS with strict transport security. We limit the information we collect in the first place, and we do not ask for or store Social Security numbers, dates of birth, government identification numbers or financial account details through this website.
Children
This site and our text message program are intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes affecting the text message program will be communicated through the program itself.
